A classic Zari Sari is made using Varanasi Jangla weaving technique which is characterized by heavy and intricate weaves. The Chanderi weaver has used Gold Zari and Blue silk yarn to create checkerboard design instead of creepers and flowers as is common with Varanasi weaving. The contemporary design, the copper sheen and the traditional technique make this a collectors’ item. The Sari comes with a blue blouse in same fabric but can be worn with any complementary colour. Its weave and gold zari makes is apt alternative for traditional banarasi, as Chanderi is a fabric suitable for all seasons. The fine fabric used in this saree has been handwoven in 15 days on the looms located in Chanderi, Madhya Pradesh
