A lime green organza silk saree handwoven in Varanasi, the sheer body scattered with an all-over kadwa booti — floral medallions woven individually into the cloth, each gold-outlined with a deep blue meenakari centre. Ornate gold corner motifs and a contrast grey-blue border frame the airy organza, with the same booti carried into the pallu. In kadwa weaving, every motif is woven separately on the loom rather than carried across the back, so each booti sits clean and self-contained on the translucent ground — slow, skilled work that gives the organza its delicate, floating quality. The blue meena centres add a jewel-like contrast against the lime. A special design created in collaboration with designer Hrishika. Suited to daytime functions, festive lunches and intimate celebrations — pairs well with ruby, coral or pink jewellery.
A mood, an occasion, a feeling, matched to real, wearable pieces from independent Indian brands.
