A handwoven Banarasi Satin silk saree in pink, with Kadhua butti laid over the full field of the drape and the silk catching light along its smooth, polished ground. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom. The discipline of Kadhua is what makes the textile rare. Each motif rests in its own pool of weft, picked individually, never carried across the back of the cloth. On a satin silk ground the contrast is doubled — the polished field throws every zari motif forward, so the slow loom work reads clearly across the drape. Styling Note Drape Nivi for a clean satin sweep, or Bengali to let the pallu drape softly. Pair with kundan or polki; pink takes both gold and rose-gold metals. A rose, blush or deeper-pink raw silk blouse extends the palette.
