A handwoven Banarasi Katan silk saree in soft beige, charmed by delicate Kadhua guldasta motifs across the body. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari — a gorgeous intricate border closes the body, finishing in an elaborate aanchal of equal weight. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom. The piece comes from Kashi, the heritage city of Banarasi weaving, where master weavers have refined this craft over generations. The Kadhua tradition builds every guldasta motif into the cloth thread by thread, and the Ektara pairing adds the softness in hand that makes the drape comfortable to wear. The luxury here is the cumulative skill of two weaves working in tandem. The Ektara weave gives this drape its hand — softer, flowier, with more gloss and an easier hand to drape than a pure Kadhua piece. Styling Note Drapes beautifully Nivi or Bengali style. Pair with classic gold or kundan, a contrast cream-blush or pista-green blouse, and minimal hair to let the guldasta read.
