The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari, with an intricate Banarasi border framing the drape and an anchor motif closing the anchal. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom. Kora silk is one of the lighter Banarasi grounds, and Kadhua on Kora is among the harder combinations — the sheer field shows every loom decision. Each butti reads precisely because it was placed individually, weft by weft, in a way no quicker technique allows.
