A deep purple katan silk saree handwoven in the kadwa jangla technique with multicolour meenakari. The entire body is covered in a dense all-over jangla of scrolling floral vines and large blooms in pink, blue, yellow, orange, teal and white — no ground silk left bare, every inch alive with colour. The silver border carries large meenakari peony and rose blooms, leading into a silver pallu of scattered multicolour kalka bootis. Jangla with full meenakari is one of the most labour-intensive constructions in Banarasi weaving — each colour in each motif is introduced individually by hand, making this saree the result of weeks of work at the loom. Suited to weddings, receptions and festive occasions — pairs beautifully with gold, uncut diamond or polki jewellery. Video of the Saree
