A handwoven pure Katan silk Banarasi saree in pink, with floral motifs setting the rhythm of the body and a wide floral border framing the drape on every edge. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari — the border carries a continuous flowering pattern in gold. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom. A wide floral border is set into the loom before a single weft is thrown; the pattern then repeats with no break across the length of the drape. Holding that floral logic in alignment with the body field is the kind of placement discipline that uncompresses into days at the loom. Styling Note A Nivi drape lets the wide border read clearly along both selvedges. Style with chand bali or kundan; the pink ground holds antique-gold particularly well. A tonal pink silk blouse, or a contrast ivory raw-silk blouse, keeps the floral border in focus.
