

Inspired by the traditional Tibetan dress, the Tso Dress is a fusion of unlikely textures. The black pinstriped fabric of the bodice contrasts with the smokey blue of the lower skirt, reminiscent of the frozen lakes of Ladakh ( Tso ). The lower skirt, which has a tie-up on the side is crafted from the traditional sarong of the Meitei , Phanek and is adorn with temple border, locally known as " Moirang Phijin ". The main black pin-striped fabric is handwoven and locally known as Kumjingbi . Kumjingbi , in its original form, is worn as a sarong.
