In a refined mustard yellow palette, this Banarasi dupatta in Pure Katan Silk carries thread-by-thread leaf motifs in measured zari, lifting softly off the ground. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari — the border runs along both ends in a continuous pattern. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom. A Kadhua piece is recognised by the discipline of its placement: every butti carries its own length of weft, every motif sits exactly where the cartoon called for it. The reverse of the saree gives the craft away — no long floats, no embroidery threads, only neatly buried tails. That precision is hand-counted on the loom, one pick at a time, and it is what makes Kadhua a luxury textile rather than a printed one. Styling Note The dupatta is best draped over a kurta or lehenga set, with the border allowed to fall along the front. Pair with antique gold or temple jewellery and a ivory or deep maroon raw silk kurta so the weave leads the eye.
