Fern Green Kadhua Motif Pure Silk Handloom Banarasi Saree

A fern green Banarasi saree in pure Katan silk, with Kadhua butti drawn thread by thread across the body. The motifs, anchal and border are all woven in zari, with an intricate Banarasi border framing the drape and an anchor motif closing the anchal. Handwoven in Varanasi on a traditional pit loom. A Kadhua saree is built motif by motif, weft by weft — there is no float thread carried behind the cloth, no embroidered shortcut. The pattern reads with the quiet of something that was woven, not added, and the placement discipline is what marks the textile as a luxury. The drape carries a second weave: Ektara.
