The pallu opens into a wide tissue zari panel finished with fine stripes. In kadwa weaving, each motif is woven individually on the loom rather than carried across the back, so every flower sits clean and self-contained on the cloth. Ektara is the single-shuttle Banarasi technique — a slower, more painstaking method that gives the meenakari its painterly clarity. The zari used here is tested zari, woven with real metal thread.
