An old rose kora silk saree handwoven in Varanasi, the soft rose body patterned with flower-on-stem butis — gold blooms above silver leaves in sona-rupa zari. The pallu opens into a broad, floral-jaal panel, framed by a matching zari border that gives the saree a full, finished sweep. Kora silk has a crisp, sheer hand and a gentle natural sheen, carrying zari beautifully while staying light to wear. Worked in kadwa, each buti is individually woven into the cloth, so the motifs sit clean and defined against the airy ground. Suited to festive gatherings, day functions and intimate celebrations — pairs well with emerald, jade or green stone jewellery.
A mood, an occasion, a feeling, matched to real, wearable pieces from independent Indian brands.
