The Taramandal Saree is handwoven in luxuriously soft cotton yarns that are naturally-dyed by hand in shades of yellow. These yarns are interlaced with each other at the fabric level to create a banded striation in different tones throughout the saree. Drawing inspiration from constellation maps, this saree showcases stripes in different orientations, mimicking the lines of latitude and longitude as seen on a map. It features jamdani motifs, in orange, pink, and silver zari, which are carefully placed along stripes in the saree to resemble how star charts connect the many stars in a constellation through lines. The variation in colour, use of stripes, and presence of jamdani motifs give this saree a radiant, all-over look. With its soft, comfortable drape, bright colours, and traditional charm this saree is perfect for celebrations and festive-wear. There may be slight variations in weave and colour from the images. These natural variations are intrinsic to handloom saree craftsmanship, making each piece unique and beautiful.
A mood, an occasion, a feeling, matched to real, wearable pieces from independent Indian brands.
