Cuero Cian Monks

Some shoes follow trends. Cian doesn't. The double monk strap is one of the few designs that's stayed essentially unchanged for a hundred years. We've kept it that way — twin solid brass buckles, a clean wing-tip vamp, restrained brogueing across the toe. Nothing decorative for its own sake. The leather is full-grain calfskin, vegetable-tanned and burnished by hand. The colour will deepen with wear. The buckles will dull. The leather will soften to your foot. These are shoes meant to be worn often, polished sometimes, re-soled when the time comes. Built that way on purpose.
