Palash. Named after the flame of the forest the tree that blooms in bare branches, all colour and no leaves. That's exactly what you see here. Dramatic black branches sweep across a warm copper ground, carrying peacocks filled with intricate Gond patterning, each bird a small universe of line, dot and colour. A circular peacock motif anchors the lower field. A blue-white dove rests quietly at the base. Along the border, green waves move in a steady rhythm. Inspired by the Gond painting tradition one of India's oldest tribal art forms, where every living thing carries its own inner world.
A mood, an occasion, a feeling, matched to real, wearable pieces from independent Indian brands.
