

This pen kalamkari kanchipuram silk saree has Krishna Leela stories narrated in.a series of three circular panels depicting different leelas, set in a backdrop of Vrindavan with cows, deer and peacocks and Yadava men with gopika women. The body panel has Lord Krishna playing the flute under the Tree Of Life. There is a semi circular panel that depicts Makhan Chori and closer to the pallu is a circular panel with Radha and Krishna in Vrindavan. The paintings are handrawn and coloured using vegetable dyes on a handwoven kanchipuram silk saree woven in pure silk with a morning evening gold zari red border with traditional designs with stylised paisleys featuring annapakshi and elephant motifs in gold zari and a rich red pallu with gold zari work featuring floral motifs in gold zari. The attached blouse is in red with a zari arm band for the blouse sleeve.
