FIRST BLOSSOM SHAWL

A pastel variant of the cyan colour family, the pastel take on aqua offers an instant feeling of happiness and joy. The Shawl uses a techniques of contrasting 3-D flowers created on organza, and hand embellished with beads. They are then placed on the shawl in a symmetric pattern. The contrast of the shawl and flowers creates a subtle feeling of happiness. The lesser used technique of weaving in shawls, called “chasm-e-bulbul” or “eye of the bulbul”, results in a repeating pattern of Lozenge (diamond) shapes, adding a more depth to the piece
