

Woven in pure Katan silk and real zari, Ahilya reflects the richness and structural depth associated with heirloom Banarasi textiles. The body of the saree is crafted in an opulent Kimkhab weave, where intricate floral jaals in gold and silver zari create a dense brocade surface with remarkable luminosity and texture. Against the deep red silk ground, the weave reveals shifting layers of light and depth as the saree moves. The border and palla are woven separately in the traditional Kadhwa technique, one of the most intricate forms of Banarasi weaving, where each motif is individually crafted into the fabric by hand.
