The twelve divine forms of Lord Ganesha are resplendently hand-painted across the pale green body of this saree, under a shower of his favourite crown flowers. A thin line of gold runs along the border, allowing the artwork to shine. It is beautifully contrasted by a lined zari pallu in deep purple. Comes attached with plain blouse fabric in purple. Material: Mulberry silk woven in Kanchipuram Colour: Green and Purple Saree Length: 5.50m Blouse: 85cm Each Kanchipuram silk saree in our Kalpataru range is hand-painted by master artists in Kalahasti who have carried forward this tradition over generations. The sarees are painted using natural pigments derived from tree bark, fruit peels and flowers, washed in running river water and bleached by the sun. Every saree is moulded by the colours, water and sunlight of the region, and each line, stroke and variation is a testament to the artist’s skill and labour. Note: Since the traditional Kalamkari process involves multiple rounds of preparation and washing, the attached blouse piece on this saree is slightly smaller than our standard allowance due to shrinkage.
