The Alder is a sculpted single monk in deep obsidian black — the formal monk, refined. Full-grain calf leather upper, single solid-brass buckle, closed lacing under the strap, almond toe. The shape is sharper than the Carter — narrower waist, slightly elongated last — built for the man who wants his formal shoes to read tailored, not classic. Hand-stitched, hand-welted, leather-soled.
