An ivory cream kora silk saree handwoven in Varanasi, the pale body scattered with flower-on-stem butis — gold blooms set above bright pink meenakari leaves and stems. The pallu carries a broad floral-jaal panel in gold zari, bordered to match, the pink meena giving the neutral ground a playful lift. Kora silk has a crisp, sheer hand and a soft natural sheen that shows off both zari and meenakari to effect. Worked in kadwa, each buti is individually woven into the cloth, keeping the motifs clean and well-defined. Suited to festive gatherings, day functions and intimate celebrations — pairs well with ruby, garnet or red stone jewellery.
A mood, an occasion, a feeling, matched to real, wearable pieces from independent Indian brands.
